Cabinetry projects

 Owner of Alpha Omega Design, James Athanasiou discovered his passion for cabinetry back in 2005, when he took a job with a small, family-owned kitchen renovation company in Orlando. Because it was a tight-knit team, James got hands-on experience in every part of the renovation process—demolition, drywall, tile, cabinetry, and countertops. It was here, amidst the sawdust and tools, that he fell in love with woodworking.

 

From there, James joined a team of seasoned carpenters installing kitchens and baths for various design centers across the Orlando area. Working with so many different designers sparked a deeper curiosity: why did some beautiful designs work flawlessly in the field, while others fell apart during installation? He realized that while many designers had a strong creative vision, they often lacked the technical know-how to make those ideas truly functional. That responsibility often fell on James and his crew.

 

Determined to bridge that gap between creativity and craftsmanship, James went back to school to study design. He envisioned a better way to serve clients—where design and execution worked hand in hand from start to finish. That vision became a reality in 2008, when he launched Alpha Omega Design.

 

Today, James calls himself a designer craftsman—someone who not only brings your dream kitchen or bath to life on paper but also knows exactly how to build it in your home. His rare combination of field experience and design expertise means fewer delays, fewer surprises, and a more seamless experience from concept to completion.
